Welcome to the Centre for Applied Learning and Multimedia (CALM) .
CALM is one of the centres that deals directly with the teaching-learning
function in UNIMAS. We provide a variety of programmes and services to staff
and students to enhance the quality of both conventional and online
teaching-learning experience.
Our mission at CALM is:
o to promote a teaching and learning culture which breeds the best of scholarship
o to encourage the development of teaching as a profession and a scholarly activity
o to nurture collaborative links among various learning communities at the university
Our core businesses at CALM include the followings:
o spearheading initiatives in the use of information and communication technologies
in teaching and learning
o conducting short courses and workshops for academics on the use of new
technologies, and
o conducting professional development programs for the UNIMAS academics
Our strategy to support and enhance these core businesses is through the formation
of four units, namely
>> e-Learning Unit
>> Academic Staff Development Unit
>> Digital Publication Unit
>> Teaching and Learning Support Unit
